Community Majority Vote information

On Saturday, February 7th, the board voted to move to a community majority vote over the proposed new Bylaws.

Community Vote Over the Proposed New Bylaws

At the board meeting on 2/7/26, the board voted to take the proposed new Bylaws to a community majority vote. All NET community members are allowed one vote to be cast on approving or rejecting the proposed new Bylaws.

The voting will be open from 2/8/26 to 3/8/26.

You have three options on how to vote:


You can vote through the digital form found on the community's

Facebook page, the website, and by email.

OR
You can vote in person at the community gathering to be held at DeKalb First United Methodist on Saturday, February 21st. Eat at 5, worship at 6.

OR
You can vote by paper ballot. For it to be counted, all information needs to be filled out, signed, and received by March 8th.

Justification of important documents:

1. A copy of the current Bylaws. If the majority vote does fail, these are the Bylaws that will stand. 

2. This copy has the changes made in different texts and strikethroughs so you can easily see where the changes have been made. If the majority vote does pass, these are the Bylaws that will stand. 

3. This is a copy of the proposed changes cleaned up in an easy-to-read format. 

4. This statement shows the direction the current board has moved in. If the new Bylaws pass, or if they fail and we start a new community, this statement will be a part of the community we build. 

5. If you have not received the emails from the board, or know someone who has not, here is a form they can fill out so we can add their email to the list.
